Museum

Ethnographic museum of Slany region in Trebiz is part of the Land museum in Slany. The ethnographic museum was open in 1975. It is one of the open-air museums in central bohemia region and its base is village houses preserved on their original sites. Most of them are stone houses built out of arenaceous marl and sand stone – building materials typical for this region - and show of once very often used wood frame house construction. This buildings represent various social types of people living in villages. Historically important is also the birth house of the writer Vaclav Benes Trebizsky. The interiors were mostly furnished with objects donated by inhabitants of Trebiz and nearby villages.
